1. Opening Cocktail: will be held on June 22, at the Convention Center of Ribeirão Preto (Centro de Convenções de Ribeirão Preto). This event will begin shortly after the opening lecture that will be delivered by Professor. Dr. Curtis Klassen, current publisher of "Toxicology - The Basic Science of Poisons (Casarett and Doulls).
2. Farewell dinner for participants. This event will be held on June 24 in the most famous club of Ribeirão Preto, Sports Recreational Society (Recra), located at 299, 9 de Julho ave. In addition to a full dinner with dessert, it will be served caipirinhas, beer, soda and water, the sound of a band playing live. The value of the participant fee is USD 25.00 and will be charged in Congress.


Suggestions for bars in Ribeirao Preto

The city of Ribeirao Preto is known as the " Tap Beer Land" and therefore, the Organizing Committee of the XVII Brazilian Congress of Toxicology suggests the following bars:

1. Pinguin: bar opened in 1937 and became a national reference with respect to tap beer. There are three houses in Ribeirão Preto, the most famous being located at 389, General Osório street, nears to the traditional Theatro Pedro II.
2. Vila Dionisio: Night club whose main attractions are Rock 'n' Roll and beers from several countries worldwide. It is located at 567, Eliseu Guilherme street.
3. Salz Bar: This bar was inspired by the best bars in New York and São Paulo. This site stands out for the outdoor mezzanine, a great option for the hot days of Ribeirao Preto. Location: 1415, Itatiaia Ave.
4. Cachaçaria Água Doce: This famous Brazilian bar has two houses in Ribeirão Preto, one at 1534, Independência ave. and another at 1070, Portugal ave.  
5. Jordiano: this bar is characterized by a cool environment and has one of the best tap beers in the city, having won the title of the Royal Academy of Tap Beer (AmBev) for three consecutive years. Location: 1850, Independencia Ave.
6. Cervejarium: In this bar you can take beers from around the world, in addition to local tap beer and beer, called Colorado. Location: 3242, Independencia Ave.
